Our own Manuela Mejia was selected as one of 49 doctoral students from Europe and around the world to participate in the 2025 ESERA Doctoral Summer School in Almeria, Spain.
This year, the Doctoral School welcomed 49 students and 14 mentors from 21 different countries. She spent a rewarding week learning, networking and sharing her research with both doctoral students and mentors.
She presented her work titled “Investigating the role of scientists’ salient identities in navigating failure experiences” which explores scientists’ experiences of failure and the role of salient
identities in navigating failure in academic and professional contexts.
